Guest Room Usage Guidelines

  • Smoking and drinking are strictly prohibited within the Hi Seoul Youth Hostel building.
    The following items are not allowed in guest rooms:
    - Pets
    - Flammable materals
  • Please refrain from any disruptive behavior that may cause inconvenience to other guests and facility users.
  • Violation of the above rules may result in the cancellation of your reservation, and no refund will be issued.
  • In the event of damage to facilities or items, compensation must be made based on restoration to the original state or current market value.
  • Equipment and supplies must not be moved to other rooms. If they are relocated, they may be considered lost.
  • The room slippers provided in standard-type rooms must not be worn outside of the room.
  • Youth guests are requested to limit the use of and movement within the facility after 10:00 PM.
  • For safety reasons, the main entrance (vehicle side) will be closed after 12:00 AM. Please use the rear entrance on the 1st floor (parking lot side).
  • Upon check-out, please ensure that all items are returned to their original positions, and any trash should be gathered in the designated area (by the entrance).
  • Check-out time is by 10:00 AM the following day. If you wish to extend your stay, prior approval must be obtained, and an additional fee of 11,000 KRW per hour will be charged.
  • Youth guests are not allowed to share rooms with members of the opposite gender.
  • Group leaders (teachers or supervisors) are responsible for overseeing the group's behavior, including pre-arrival education, noise control, and safety, until check-out.

Conference Room Usage Guidelines

  • Hi Seoul Youth Hostel, as a youth accommodation facility, prohibits smoking and drinking within the building. Violating this rule may result in the cancellation of the room rental.
  • The following are prohibited inside the conference room:
    - The bringing in of food and flammable materials. However, simple refreshments such as tea and candy are allowed.
    - Noisy behavior or the use of equipment other than what has been permitted is not allowed, as it may cause inconvenience to other facility users.
  • In the event of damage to facilities or equipment, compensation must be made based on the restoration to the original state or current market value.
  • Wireless microphones, projector remotes, power strips, and other equipment must be returned to the front desk after use.
  • After using the conference room, please ensure that the space is properly cleaned and organized, and all trash is disposed of in the designated area (next to the trash bins in the hallway).
  • The room must be used solely for the purpose approved in the room reservation, and any violations will result in immediate cancellation of the booking.
  • You must adhere to the designated conference room usage time. If additional time is needed, prior approval is required, and any extra usage fees must be paid based on the facility usage fee guidelines.
  • After using the conference room, users must contact the front desk to have the equipment and cleanliness inspected.
  • The use of double-sided tape is prohibited when attaching banners. If you wish to attach anything to the conference room walls, please consult with the front desk staff for approval. Any damage caused may incur charges.

Terms of Use

  • Article 1 (Application of Terms)
    1. The terms and conditions that apply to contracts entered into by Hi Seoul Youth Hostel (hereinafter referred to as the “Hostel”) shall be as stipulated in these Terms of Use. Any matters not provided for in these terms shall be governed by relevant laws or customs.
    2. The Hostel may agree to special terms within the scope of not violating the spirit of these terms, laws, or customs.
  • Article 2 (Refusal of Accommodation)
    The Hostel may refuse accommodation in the following cases:
    1. When the accommodation request does not comply with these terms.
    2. When there are no available rooms or meeting spaces due to full occupancy.
    3. When it is judged that the guest may engage in behavior that violates laws or public order and good morals.
    4. When the guest is clearly recognized as having a contagious disease.
    5. When accepting the guest would impose an unreasonable burden on the Hostel.
    6. When accommodation or venue rental is impossible due to natural disasters or facility malfunctions.
    7. When the guest carries illegal firearms.
    8. When it is deemed that accommodation or venue rental is prohibited by Korean law.
  • Article 3 (Reservations)
    Reservation methods and guidelines are as follows: Reservations for the Hostel can be made via phone consultation, online booking, or application form submission. Some general rooms can also be directly booked online through platforms such as Agoda and other Online Travel Agencies (OTAs).
  • Article 4 (Notification of Name and Other Information)
    The Hostel may require the following information from those making a reservation:
    1. Name, gender, nationality, address, and passport number of the guest(s).
    2. Other details deemed necessary by the Hostel.
  • Article 5 (Reservation Deposit)
    For both individual and group reservations, a valid credit card must be provided for guarantee purposes.
  • Article 6 (Cancellation and Modification)
    For individual reservations, cancellations or modifications can be made through the site where the reservation was made if booked online, or via phone if the reservation was made by phone. For group reservations, a cancellation notice must be sent to the official email of Hi Seoul Youth Hostel, including the group name, reservation date, and reason for cancellation. The Hostel may cancel reservations in the following cases, unless otherwise specified:
    1. When the grounds for refusal of accommodation are met.
    2. When the information provided in the reservation, such as name, is false.
    3. When a credit card for reservation guarantee is not provided.
  • Article 7 (Penalty Charges)
    If the reservation holder cancels or modifies the reservation in whole or in part, the Hostel may charge a penalty fee according to the following guidelines, based on customary practices:
    1. Individuals
    A. 4 days prior to use: No penalty.
    B. 2-3 days prior to use: 30% of the total fee.
    C. 1 day prior to use: 50% of the total fee.
    D. On the day of use: 80% of the total fee.
    2. Groups
    A. 30 days prior to use: No penalty.
    B. 8-15 days prior to use: 20% of the total fee.
    C. 4-7 days prior to use: 50% of the total fee
    D. 1-3 days prior to use: 100% of the total fee.
    ※ This includes groups reserving only meeting rooms.
  • Article 8 (Refunds)
    In case of cancellations or modifications due to personal reasons, the refund procedure is as follows:
    1. Cash
    A. Cancellation and modification can only be done through direct visit or phone consultation, and the fee is calculated.
    B. Confirmation of the fee deducted from the usage fee
    C. The refund will be processed within 2-3 days and transferred to the customer’s account.
    2. Credit Card
    A. Cancellation and change only through the customer's in-person or telephone consultant and commission calculations
    B. Service fees will be charged to the card.
    C. The amount charged to the card will be canceled.
  • Article 9 (Fee Calculation)
    1. Rooms
    A. The room fee will be confirmed at the time of reservation based on the posted price.
    B. Check-in time is 2:00 PM, and check-out time is 10:00 AM.
    C. If the stay exceeds the specified time, an additional fee for the extra hours will be charged.
    D. If the number of occupants exceeds the room capacity due to customer circumstances, an additional fee per person will be charged, while for fewer occupants, the standard room rate will apply.
    2. Meeting Rooms
    A. The venue rental fee will be confirmed in advance based on the posted price during consultation.
    B. If the usage exceeds the specified time, an additional fee for the extra hours will be charged.
  • Article 10 (Key Issuance and Return)
    1. Guests will receive a room key card at the front desk upon check-in and must return it to the front desk staff upon check-out.
    2. If a guest loses the key during their stay, they must promptly report it to the front desk and have a replacement key issued.
  • Article 11 (Denial of Continued Stay)
    The Hostel may refuse further accommodation even if a guest is already staying in the following cases:
    1. If the grounds stated in Article 2, paragraphs 3 to 8, are applicable.
    2. If the guest fails to comply with the Hostel's rules.
  • Article 12 (Compliance with Guest Room and Meeting Room Usage Guidelines)
    Guests are required to comply with the usage guidelines separately established by the Hostel for guest rooms and meeting rooms.
  • Article 13 (Operating Hours)
    The operating hours of the Hostel’s facilities are posted separately and may change due to circumstances.
    1. The main entrance will be closed from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM, and guests may need to use the back entrance during these hours.
    2. Kitchen: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM
    3. Laundry Room: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM
    4. Lounge: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM
